Using EETT Funds
EETT funds help the nation’s K-12 schools meet their technology needs, including access to the Internet, integration of technology into the curriculum, and high-quality professional development. EETT grants require an approved long-range strategic educational technology plan. Up to 5 percent of EETT funds may be used at the state level. The remaining funds must be distributed through formula and competitive grants:
- Formula grants allocate funds to local educational agencies (LEAs, generally school districts) through a formula based on Title I shares.
- Competitive grants award funds to high-need LEAs and eligible local partnerships on a competitive basis.
